Great Harbor
Woods Hole, MA
This vintage seaside home, circa 1918, had been in the same family for decades and still held so much of its original charm and detail. When the property ultimately changed hands, the new owners sought to renovate while remaining respectful to the spirit and history of the home. The interior cypress wood walls, which had become dark and dry over time, gleamed anew when they were refinished. The butler’s pantry was brought back to its original glory with the addition of vintage style lighting and a soapstone sink top. The kitchen and baths were completely renovated, adding color, a lighter palette, and modern comforts to these spaces. The exterior color scheme, soft yellow trim with blue shutters, was freshened and further supported with the addition of Adirondack chairs to match. Here’s to creating new memories, while embracing the past.
